County of Kings @ The Public Theater!
Digg it!
“Featured last year as part of The Public Theater’s Under The Radar Festival, Lemon Andersen’sCounty of Kings gives a tough, yet poignant biographical account of a good kid growing up in an unforgiving environment in this one man journey. Weaving hard- edged drama with urban poetry, the Brooklyn hip-hop artist spins his own coming-of-age memoir in this jarring and poignant solo performance. A true story of finding passion and purpose against all odds, Lemon paints a vivid portrait of his difficult and sometimes humorous experiences growing up during the most influential cultural movement of our time, the birth of hip-hop. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Lemon Andersen has been featured as a regular on HBO’s “Def Poetry” presented by Russell Simmons and was also an original cast member and writer of Russell Simmons Tony Award winning Def Poetry Jam on Broadway. On screen Lemon has appeared opposite Denzel Washington in Spike Lee’s Inside Man and The Soloist starring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr.”

Atlantic Antic Aftermath!
Wow, I honestly fell in love with Brooklyn all over again this past Sunday at The Atlantic Antic. Our good folks at DEITY set-up a nice lounge area were they served some of they’re new tasty dishes i.e. Braised short ribs, Chili and Squash. The beer/wine selection didn’t hurt and folks just chilled enjoying a wonderful Sunday afternoon. We honestly can’t even explain how fun it was so enjoy some flicks we captured. I’d like to thank the whole DEITY staff for making me 10 pounds heavier and Thurmond for mixing up some crazy new drink that got me inebriated after two sips. I’d also like to send my monthly gym bill to the girls at Sweet Virgo for those delicious friggin desserts which are now served at Deity’s bar…my diet is DUNZO!! LMAO
P.S. Check out the Video Vixen with the Obama condom hustle!
Those Damn Invisible Dogs in Brooklyn!!!
Ok, so a couple of weeks back we Tweet’d that we kept seeing these people walking on Atlantic Ave. with invisible Dog Leashes but pretending to actually be walking pooches. I either thought two things 1. Hipsters have officially lost they’re minds or 2. A shit load of dog leashes just spilled out on Atlantic Ave. No, I later found out it was all a hoax from the Improv Everywhere team. They finally released the video and man these guys got us good;) Cheers!
P.S. I ran up on a dude and ask him what type of dog is it and he replies “A Shitzhu” Classic!

The 35th Annual Atlantic Antic is rearing it’s gorgeous head this Sunday, October 4th. I have to confess I’ve never been but all the promotion has got me excited. The one thing that has me excited more than anything is our folks at DEITY will be apart of the festivities and we’re able to secure a street food & liquor license. 13th Annual D.U.M.B.O. Art Under The Bridge Festival
Dumbo, BK is one of those places that exudes progression, art and style. I love working out of this side of Brooklyn because it’s seriously a peaceful and wonderful location with the coolest folks around. When we found out the Art Under the Bridge Festival was going down again we got all emotional inside, because it’s one of those events that makes you scream out loud “I love living in Brooklyn!”.
What is Art Under The Bridge?
According to the DUMBO Arts center website “Art Under the Bridge is an opportunity for young artists to use any medium imaginable to create temporary projects on-the-spot everywhere and anywhere,“ It seriously is a Hodge podge of random works of art by some of the worlds most talented artist. The festival is from Sep.25th-27th and you can grab more information by clicking HERE. We hope to see you out;)
We also had the chance to chill with Graf artist Bader Israel who loves Dumbo as well. We caught him at DEITY throwing up some Mural work inside DEITY Underground, check it out!
DJ M.O.S., Brooklyn & Other drunken tales….
Man, I think I’m still hungover from FTL at DEITY with DJ M.O.S. The place was jam packed with tons of wonderful people and great sounds. I Twitted M.O.S. the following day after searching for hangover remedies and he called it “Bananas” to say the least. DJ M.O.S. never disappoints and we can’t wait to get him back at DEITY for a second installment! Thanks to DJ M.O.S., The 3 Olives Bubble folks and the Bubble Ladies and Fusicology.
